Hello, Wanderer!

Michelle Shortage is a Sydney based artist who creates sculptures and art pieces out of clay and paint. Her work is deeply tied to her childhood, as she was raised in a very unstable home and found comfort in creating things.

“My art pieces are a reflection OF a childs’ wonderous curiosity to learn the life they experience like a playground and I’m here to recreate the childhood I missed out on.
one day I hope to tell you my story.

Mail Me There is a world that embraces learning everyday in a fun and simple way to find our own sense of home.”

What is Mail me There?

I wanted to create a world where I had the ability to create, learn and express myself freely. I wanted that world to be a safe space that allowed me to dream, explore and grow with my inner child. I aim to create an immersive experience for the viewer, who will be able to explore through a beautiful collection of miniature worlds created through clay and paint.

Fenton my lion-like creature is a symbol of joy, courage and protection to Mail Me There. He encourages us to remember our inner child; our youthful adoration and curiosity to the world, Where we can be in eternal play, growth and love.

This is an exciting new project that I’ve created to share my passion for life. My inspiration comes from the world around me, while being fully embracing of my emotions and intimate experiences.

I know that when you can surround yourself with beautiful things, it makes you feel more alive! —and that's what I want for the people who experience my work: to help you find a bit of excitement and transformation in everyday life.

Bring a little bit of the world into your home by exploring the world of Mail Me There.
